A truly great Dane

In an episode of The Simpsons, the bartender, moe, CALLED TUBORG "the beer of Danish kings!" we're not sure how many danish kings hAve ACTUALLY QUAFFED A PINT OF THE GOOD STUFF AND, FRANKLY, WE DON'T REALLY CARE. WHAT'S IMPORTANT IS THAT THAT IN OUR OPINION (AND IN THE OPINION OF PEOPLE WHO KNOW ABOUT SUCH THINGS) IT'S A JOLLY FINE PILSNER-STYLE BEER.

Tubork pint and bar fontThe Tuborg brewery was founded in 1873 by a small band of pioneering Danish industrialists and financiers. Tuborg's outlook was international from the very beginning and the original brewery was located on the Copenhagen waterfront to make exporting that bit easier. 130-or-so years later, we're proud to continue Tuborg's love affair with dockside locations by serving it in our café.

Some people have asked why we like to change our drinks around from time to time, and we couldn't give a better answer than quoting one of Tuborg's founders, Philip W Heymann, who said, "Stagnation is recession". In other words, if you try to stay still, you'll go backwards. (Anyone who's tried to park bicycle half way up Park Street will relate to that idea.)

Anyway, aside from the philosophical meeting of minds, we also love that Tuborg is so refreshing and easy-drinking. And now that we have a licence to serve pints, you can enjoy a nice-sized glass of this delicious premium quality pilsner. Cheers.
